November 15 – 16, 2016 — Chateaux is excited to have its Director of Enterprise Applications competing in GE’s sold-out Hackathon at Minds + Machines in San Francisco, CA.

Chateaux’s Director of Enterprise Applications will be attending the two-day event at GE to test and build out their new Internet of Things cloud platform, Predix. The Chateaux team is happy to see him use his background in enterprise architecture and application coding at the hackathon.

Predix is a platform that combines analytics with sensor and machine data capabilities. The two-day event includes seminars where GE and Intel showcase their new products and the develop

ers in attendance will learn about different features.

The big draw includes a hackathon event where eighty-five developers from around the country will work in teams of five to develop innovative solutions to various industry problems using Predix application development. The main categories of the completion are Digital Twin, Workforce of the Future, and Intelligent Environments.

At the end of the hackathon, the teams will demo their work and winners will be announced. The winning Hacker team will have the opportunity to travel to GE’s Foundry in Paris, France for one week of co-development.

The prizes also include cash, with a grand prize of $50,000 for the team of five. The Hackathon is sure to be a great time full of creativity, hacking-fellowship, and of course, caffeine!
