Shoreline Child and Family Psychology (SCFP) is a psychology practice based in Westport, Connecticut, that promotes skills and wellness, and builds on coping strengths to help with children’s emotional and behavioral challenges. By working with Chateaux’s web development team, SCFP is able to deliver information easily to prospective and current patients.

The Challenge
When we started working with Shoreline Child & Family Psychology (SCFP), it was a new small business that had yet to develop its brand identity. Creating a brand, value proposition, and a website that services clients best are just a few of the challenges that new business owners face. The website that was needed for SCFP had to provide information about the doctors and their services, with the ultimate goal to have visitors reach out to book an appointment for their child or family.
It was Chateaux’s job to create a website that, not only was easy to use for SCFP’s clients to use, but also easy to maintain, expand and edit going further.
The Result
This website redesign allowed SCFP to launch their new business and service offerings. The site is hosted on an affordable and user-friendly platform, meaning it is easily kept updated and looking fresh.

The Challenge
Who are SCFP?
As a brand new small business, SCFP had yet to develop any kind of brand identity. Our challenge was to help them to create their branding, value proposition and a website that would serve their customers in the best possible way. In a competitive market, it was important for SCFP to stand out and be seen as a trusted and professional local business from the offset. The website needed to provide information about various doctors and their services and specialties, and had to have the ability for site visitors to book and appointment for themselves or their family with ease.
The Approach
Creating the brand
The initial task in hand was to decide upon a logo. We used a crowd sourcing tool to review and refine over 80 different logo designs until we decided upon the final design. We also selected a color palette to be used for branding across both the site and any future marketing materials to ensure consistency as well as brand recognition. Following this we started on the website itself. We used Squarespace to host the site, and this decision was mainly based mainly on cost, as well as ease of use. Squarespace enabled us to create a professional and beautiful website that staff from SCFP could easily maintain themselves without the need for additional IT staff.
The Result
Beautiful, user-friendly website
SCFP launched their new business and service offerings on a clear, consistently branded, and easy to navigate website. Hosting the site on an affordable and user-friendly platform allows SCFP to update their website whenever is required and to keep the look and feel fresh.
About Shoreline Child and Family Psychology
After the creation of the Shoreline Child and Family Psychology brand and website, they have gone on to be a successful practise, based in Westport, CT. The practise is run by Dr. Cindy Scope, who has extensive professional experience in working with children and families. She uses her experience in both NY and CT schools to provide services for a wide range of needs, including the identification of Learning and Emotional and Developmental Disabilities.
