Project Description

The United Nations needed training for their SAP BusinessObjects development team to fill in knowledge gaps for using BusinessObjects WebIntelligence (Webi) to create dashboards. Chateaux provided a multi-day, on-site training session covering Universe Design and Webi reports with an emphasis on developing dashboards.

The client, the United Nations (UN), was using SAP BusinessObjects as their Business Intelligence (BI) reporting platform. While they had a skilled report development team, they were not utilizing the full functionality of BusinessObjects Web Intelligence (Webi), which is designed for business users to achieve self-service access to ad-hoc reporting and analysis without requiring a technical background. The client needed training to fill in the knowledge gaps for using Webi to create dashboards and visualizations.
The UN had a longstanding relationship with Chateaux that began when SAP referred them to Chateaux for the installation and administration of SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 in 2011. When they decided to invest in additional training, it was a clear-cut decision for them to engage Chateaux again.

Chateaux provided a multi-day training and mentorship session for a group of eight people, including six developers and two IT managers. The training was divided into two parts: Universe Design and Webi reports with an emphasis on developing dashboards. A hands-on approach was used to ensure each participant got the most they could out of the each session.

Through this mentorship, the Chateaux team helped to significantly increase the confidence of the developers in using Webi tools, and aided their team in meeting all objectives to move towards a production environment.
Chateaux won with flying colors because of their long history working with BusinessObjects, dating back to before it was acquired by SAP. I would highly recommend the Chateaux team for any SAP endeavors; the entire experience was unsurpassed by any other vendor we have worked with, from installation, to optimization, to training.
